Cultivating Joy Reflection Prompts
Intention Setting: Consider setting an intention, hope or wish for how you’d like to experience this practice. You can write, draw, doodle, sketch, dance, move, or sit and reflect with these prompts. Remember that journaling is expression, this can be done/captured in the ways that feel right to you. It does not always meet writing in a journal or notebook. It can also mean sketching, drawing, dance or movement.
Reflection Prompts:
What does joy mean to me right now?
What is bringing me joy during these uncertain and challenging times?
What ways am I inviting joy?
What song, TV shows, media, games, movie, or anything else brings me joy?
Who do I follow on social media--or whose work do I engage with--that reminds me of joy?
What about joy feels hard to experience? What about joy feels easy to experience?
What did I learn about joy growing up? What have I learned about joy in the present?
What does it mean to cultivate a regular practice of joy?
